We are Wiebe and Marjan Hadderingh and we are making our dream come true!
After hosting guests for a few years at Bed & Breakfast De Gesholte in The Netherlands, we have found our dream home in Chambres d’hôtes La Joyeuse in Préveranges, France.
Who are we?
Sometimes there comes a moment when you feel it’s time for a new chapter. For us, that moment was when we decided to realise our long-cherished dream: our own bed and breakfast in France. In the beautiful, green landscape of Berry, we found exactly what we were looking for – peace, space and authentic French country life. We now enjoy sharing this special place with our guests.
Marjan worked for many years in the hospitality industry at a luxury resort and is a hostess through and through. She enjoys giving people a warm welcome and making sure everyone feels at home here right away. Cooking is one of her greatest passions. With love and attention, she prepares dishes that guests can enjoy together – a moment of conviviality at the table, just as it should be in France.
Wiebe has a great love for wine and enjoys sharing that passion. At the end of a beautiful day in the Berry, he happily pours a good glass of wine and tells you all about it. This often leads to the most enjoyable conversations and relaxed evenings on the terrace.
Together, we do everything we can to make La Joyeuse a place where you can completely unwind. A place where you can enjoy peace and quiet, nature, good food, a nice glass of wine and, above all, the friendly atmosphere.
